The 2026-27 Sunderland Home shirt from hummel pays tribute to a momentous event in the club’s history, their first FA Cup victory over Preston North End at Wembley. As Sunderland gear up for their first European season in 53 years it’s a fitting reminder of their legacy and pride, the design drawing on elements of the club’s history and classic kit aesthetics. The iconic red and white stripes are augmented with a subtle jacquard ‘S’ fashioned in the style of the handles of the FA Cup. The contemporary club crest sits within a sewn-on shield mirroring the design of crest used in 1937, while the sign-off on the back neck recreates the crest itself. Inside the neck features the names of the first XI from that famed match, a piece of Sunderland history you’ll carry with you each time you put it on.
